I am 44 years of age. My wife, Janet, and I have been married for 17 years. We have a 14 year-old daughter named Sarah and a 10 year-old daughter named Jennifer.

EXPERIENCE:

I have been a practicing accountant since 1983. My background includes experience working for a small regional accounting firm in Maryland where I managed a client base that included a wide variety of professionals. My duties included the preparation of financial statements and quarterly reports, pension plan returns, tax returns, payroll returns, as well the analysis of expense accounts, bank reconciliation and tax planning services for both corporate and individual clients. I also assisted management in the training of new staff accountants.

I also worked as a supervisor in the small business department of one of the largest regional CPA firms on Long Island. My responsibility in this unique department was to supervise the accounting and tax functions for over 20 client companies ranging from small retail chains to medical and law practices. I supervised the activities of staff accountants who were responsible for preparing the tax forms and financial statements. I also reviewed all of the client's accounting records to ensure the accuracy of updated figures, assisted company bookkeepers with accounting procedures, reviewed monthly and year-end financial statements as well as corporate and individual tax returns. I consulted with company owners regarding future business plans and financial needs, outlining tax plans and proposing budgets when necessary.

Today, I council individual and business clients on how to maximize their financial position through the implementation of accounting and tax-saving strategies. I also oversee the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership and trust and estate returns.
